Wood Carving

Step into a world of Indigenous science and craftsmanship with our immersive wood carving experience, designed as a blend of professional development and cultural appreciation. This workshop invites you to witness traditional carving techniques and deep knowledge embedded in each creation—where every piece is connected to the land and tells a unique story.

This First Nations experience is not about learning to carve a First Nations atefact but rather, about appreciating the artistry, scientific understanding, and intricate relationships between Indigenous knowledge, the environment, and the materials used. Gain a richer understanding of the significance behind each creation. At the end of the experience, you’ll be invited to keep the final carving.
